New paintings

"SANTORINI SUNSET" Santorini, Greece

This past September I taught two workshops, the first in Belgium and the second in Santorini and spent the time in between the two exploring and painting in France and on the tiny island of Hydra Greece. If you have been following this blog you have read all about this trip already.

What you did not read about was the theft that happened on the way home. My backpack that I carried on the airplanes on the way home was so crammed with stuff that I decided not to put the paintings in it for fear they would get bent. So I put them in between the clothes in the suitcase I checked in. Not smart. Somewhere between Santorini and London a thief opened it and removed some make-up, a scarf, and worst of all my completed paintings. I guess the thief was not my size and could not paint because she/he left the incomplete paintings and my clothes.

As a busy traveler there are always paintings that get started but don't get finished, so these are the paintings I have left from my trip. They are complete now and hanging at Elliott Fouts Gallery, 4749 J Street in Sacramento. http://www.efgallery.com/

These paintings are small, 6" x 6" or 9" x 4 1/2" created in ink and watercolor on 300 lb watercolor paper, cut with deckle edges and floated in wide white mats in contemporary white wood frames. All are priced at $250.00.

To purchase a painting call the gallery at (916) 736-1429.

Fabulous paintings. I love the contrast with the pen and ink.
