"Island Color" is my latest painting. I created it for the Loomis Art Loop studio tour that will happen again May 9 and 10, 2009 (Mother's Day Weekend) here in the Loomis basin. We met for our planning meeting on Saturday and what fun we had! Yes we talked business and planned the tour, but everyone shared their ideas with such enthusiasm and so much creativity was in the air it was magical. Commenting on all the creative ideas hatched at the meeting, Cindy Bonito said that this country would be better off if artists held many high offices in our government. At least there would be no shortage of creative ideas to solve problems!Painting is my passion. Travel satisfies my curiosity, adds to my understanding of the world and provides endless subject matter for my paintings. I lead painting trips around the world so I can travel with other painters. Daily painting is how I grow as an artist and how I satisfy my passion for painting. I paint as I travel and I paint in my studio. I do not limit my work to one style, one subject or one medium. Growth comes from exploration. www.sandydelehanty.com
