Day 2, I took a hike from Riomaggoire to Manarola and found this fabulous view of Manarola from the backside just peaking through the cliffs. I found a nice place to sit and paint, and with a wary look at the cloudy sky decided to set up and paint and hope the sun came out. I was on a platform that was above the train station, so the whole time I painted I heard train announcements in Italian and then English, I can now translate Italian train announcements. Just as I began to add the color, the sun came out, perfecto!Sunday, May 25, 2008
A painting in my journal of Manarola from the backside
